Caryn, No Where To Go

Caryn Groedel, the 46-year-old civil rights lawyer from Solon, Ohio, trusted an alliance of women who immediately betrayed her, sending her home in a unanimous vote. Caryns mouth was way to big for this game. She could of done much better with a little discretion.

Sorry Sue R. Loose lips sink ships, or something like that. Better luck next season.

Gregg, Blind Sided

Gregg Carey, the 28-year-old business consultant from Chicago, Illinois, was blindsided by his alliance of five. Gregg shot himself in the foot by forgeting to play the game. He got caught up in his relationship with Jenn and left his main competition (Tom/Ian) alone to conspire against him. Stunned at the vote, Gregg could only say "My hat's off to them. They got me. They got me good!" Jenns face was pretty priceless too.

Sorry Eric, as I said in the spoiler, "If you're an immunity threat and have a girl friend this far into the game you have one choice, win immunity. So close, yet so far away."

Stephenie's fate catches up.

Stephenie LaGrossa, the 25-year-old pharmaceutical sales rep from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, finally met her inevitable fate. The last Ulong standing needed immunity to stay in the game. She smartly played for an all girl alliance and it may have worked but Caryn tossed a wrench in it by telling the men.Stephenie leaves the game for the jury with the highest public opinion rating of any survivor. Like many deserving survivors in the past, Stephenies strength, will, and ability to play the game painted a huge target on her.

Sorry Matt, landing on the Ulong tribe sealed her fate early. Better luck next season.

Janu Quits

Janu Tornell, the 39-year-old Vegas showgirl from Las Vegas, Nevada, laid down her torch just before the vote. At tribal council Stephenie knew her head was on the chopping block and her emotions poured out saying it is killing her that someone who wants to go home that badly will be kept by the rest of the tribe instead of her because she has shown so much heart and willpower to stay in the game. Jeff asks Janu what she wants to happen. She says she wants them to vote her out. He asks what is the difference of her laying her torch down or her asking to be voted out. She pauses and says there is none. She is willing to lay down her torch so Steph can stay in the game. So off Janu goes, yet another quiter of survivor.

Sorry Joan, she was a nut case. Better luck next season.

Submissive Coby Sent Packing

With Stephenie finally pulled from her hellish, and missing, tribe Coby Archa, the 32-year-old hairstylist from Athens, Texas was voted out in a 7 to 2 vote. Coby just couldn't handle the fact that another women was getting more attention then himself and made his displeasure known. Although they didn't show it Stephenie was very comfortable in her new surroundings and old alliances proved strong. Stephenie was so comfortable she gave up individual immunity for a pizza. We know she's driven to win this and the only way she would of done this was if she knew at that point Coby's was in everyones cross hairs.

Sorry Jeff, but he was annoying all of us.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRICIA!

Alabama Slammer

Ulong goes for the perfect loosing record and once again loses the immunity challange. An individual immunity was held between Stephenie and Bobby Jon to see who was going home and who would be the sole Ulong survivor. The challenge was simple, build a fire with enough height to light a torch suspended above it. Bobby Jon Drinkard, the 27-year-old waiter from Troy, Alabama couldn't get his tourch lit fast enough and was sent packing. In his closing remarks Bobby Jon commented on Stephenie, "She's honestly probably the top player in the game". I agree but don't think it's going to help her.

Sorry Darren, he was doomed from the start,

Back to Alabama

With the extinction of Ulong closing in, Stephenie, Bobby Jon, and Ibrehem lose the immunity challenge yet again. At tribal council Ibrehem Rahman, the 27-year-old waiter from Birmingham, Alabama was sent packing. In his closing remarks Ibrehem noted, "I walk away with just a whole new respect for life, not taking things for granted, and I probably learned to appreciate bathrooms a little more."

Sorry Jason, at first glance he looked to be a strong contender but ultimately being on a disfunctional tribe and his lack of skill in any challenge cut his stay short.

You Might Be A Redneck If...

The downward spiral continued as Ulong, yet again, was sent to tribal council. In another double vote, caused by Stephenie's incomprehensible vote, James Miller, the 33-year-old steelworker from Mobile, Alabama, was sent packing. If you can't tie a toga in under 4 minutes... you might be a redneck. James was clueless to the end.

Sorry Sue, we all saw it coming. There was some hope when Stephenie voted Ibrehem but ultimately you'll have to wait till next season to try again.

"An Unlikely Pair"

Still unable to win an immunity challenge Ulong was forced to vote off yet another tribe member. The Ulong tribe was thrown a typical survivor twist when Koror was allowed to choose someone to give immunity to at tribal council. With Ibrehem on the chopping block Koror wisely choose him for immunity forcing Ulong survivors to pick someone else with no knowledge of who anyone else would vote for. Bobby Jon and Angie tied - A second vote sent Angie Jakusz, the 24-year-old bartender from New Orleans, Louisiana packing. The twisting wasn't done yet as Koror was also told they must vote someone off. In a unanimous vote Koror chose their weakest link and sent Willard Smith, the 57-year-old lawyer from Bellevue, Washington off with Angie.

Condolences go out to Ray and Mary who are no longer in Al's Survivor Palua Pool.

Jeff Wilson, the 21-year-old personal trainer from Ventura, California was voted out of the Ulong tribe at his own request. What's up with the damn quitters of this game? After twisting his ankle Jeff requested his team vote him off because he wouldn't be any use to them. Hello? How much use is Kim? I personally think Jeff did it to save Kim.

"2 non-picks and a lawyer

Jolanda Jones, the 39-year-old lawyer from Houston, Texas, gets the distinction of being the first person voted off Survivor Palau but not before survivor again threw us a twist and eliminated two players before the game even really got going. Wanda Shirk, a 55-year-old English teacher from Ulysses, Pa and Jonathan Libby, 23, who is in sales and marketing and hails from Dallas, Texas were eliminated by not getting picked up in the game of school yard pick-em to create the tribes.

As we've seen every single season if you come off aggressive early you paint a huge target on yourself and that is exactly what Jolanda did. Sorry Tricia, and Nicole, you didn't even get to play. Michael, congratulations you join an elite group of us pool players that have to honor of having our survivor voted off first!

Survivor 10 - PALAU!

Survivor 10 has been officially announced. It will be in Palau in the south Pacific. Palau is sometimes called the 8th natural wonder of the world, where colorful wildlife, dense jungles and an underwater world beyond belief are haunted by the wreckage and remnants of World War II.

As usual this new installment comes with a few surprises. The first being that the number of survivors has been upped to 20. According to previews this number will be cut by 3 in the first hour. The survivors will be dropped onto an island with very little direction and start out as one tribe.
